Arin Greene, MD, MMSc

My name is Arin Greene, and I am a plastic surgeon and member of the Vascular Anomalies Center. My youngest brother was born with a cleft lip and palate and since I was a child, I have been interested in helping children with birth defects. When I was in medical school, I visited Dr. Mulliken and he introduced me to patients with vascular anomalies. I became very passionate about this population because I thought vascular anomalies were more problematic than cleft lip and palate.

What are some of the rewards and challenges of working with this population?
The reward of working with patients with vascular anomalies is that you can improve their quality of life. The challenge in this field is that we need better treatments for many types of lesions.
