"There are a couple of things that we think are very important for people to know, especially children, [one of] which is that attempting to make lifestyle changes around weight and how they're eating can be very difficult to do. Some people think that it should just come naturally and very easily and that is not the case, especially in the environment where kids are living- and families are living- their lives. So it's tough work- that's one thing. And in order to be successful at doing this we really like people to know that they need to have a strong supportive group of people around them, especially families. Kids need their parents' input, they need their encouragement and support, and they need their knowledge as well. So those are two things that we really like all kids to know when they first come to see us."
