The Experience Journal was created under the direction of Drs. David Ray DeMaso and Joseph Gonzalez-Heydrich. Both are child and adolescent psychiatrists in the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School. Together with Dr. DeMaso, Dr. Nicole Eldridge Marcus, Project Director, and Carolyn Kinnamon, Project Coordinator, have created the IBD Experience Journal for families facing child and adolescent Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Support for the IBD Experience Journal has come from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Graphic design for this website was funded by the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Boston.

The video clips were produced and edited by Dixon Yun of MRRC Multimedia, Children’s Hospital Boston. The web site was designed by Meghan Toczko.

The IBD Experience Journal would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of Kate Donovan, Dr. Alan Leichtner, Lori Parker-Hartigan, Dr. Eva Szigethy and Mary Alice Tully. We would also like to thank Jeffrey DeMaso, Tobin Hack, Kathryn Skitt, and Rebecca Waters, as well as members of the Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation Service at Children’s Hospital Boston, for their valuable contributions to this project.

We are indebted to the editing input of Nancy & Robert Anthony, Evelyn & Beth Bauer, Dr. William R. Beardslee, Marina Bers, Betsy Blume, Richard Bourne, Dr. Athos Bousvaros, Nancy Clement, Margaret Comeau, Sally Cottingham, Peggy Crowder, Beth Donegan-Driscoll, Dr. Richard Grand, Lisa Heard, Susan Lambert, Loralei Lauranzano Dr. Samuel Nurko, John and Joanne Vogel, Dr. Elizabeth Wharff, and Gail Windmueller.

Finally, and most importantly, we extend enormous gratitude to all of the families and clinicians who generously provided their stories for the IBD Experience Journal.
