INTERVIEWER: What are some of the special arrangements Michaela has in order to succeed at school?

MOM: She does stick to her room to do her homework and she takes herself away from everything else going on in the house and she’s able to accomplish her tasks. But for school, she does need to take the tests in a special place and have it quiet and not interfered with by other children with all of their ups and downs or to the teacher to ask questions and things like that. So things that could distract her from her focus needed to be eliminated or subdued as much as possible.
