INTERVIEWER: What are some of the differences you notice in yourself when you take medication for ADHD than when you don’t take medication?

BRIANNA: I notice in class when I can concentrate and when I won’t be shaking my foot or something because I’m hyper and I notice that I won’t be doing that in the beginning of the school day and in the last two periods I always notice that I will be doing that again and that I have a lot of trouble concentrating. And when I first started taking my medicine I had never noticed that I wasn’t shaking my foot—I shake my foot a lot when I just don’t take my medicine, I don’t know why. And I noticed the first time I didn’t take medicine I noticed that I didn’t take it because I saw that I was shaking my foot and at the same time my mom and I both said, “Oh, I didn’t take my medicine today,” and it was the first time I hadn’t taken it when I started it.
